Responsibilities

As a Clinical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for laboratory testing, quality control, phlebotomy, instrument maintenance, and troubleshooting. You will serve as a technical resource to Medical Assistants and may assist physicians with medical procedures in the office. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing laboratory testing and quality control procedures
  • Collecting and processing blood samples
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting laboratory equipment
  • Providing technical support to Medical Assistants
  • Assisting physicians with medical procedures


Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in laboratory testing and quality control. You will need to have a minimum of two years of experience in the healthcare field, preferably in a clinical setting. You will also need to have a Florida Technician License and national lab certification. A BLS certification is preferred.
