About the DepartmentThe Pharmaceutical Sciences department is comprised of complementary cutting-edge research programs and is home to several centers of excellence: Computer Aided Drug Design, Mass Spectrometry, Bio- and Nano-technology, and Metallotherapeutics. Notably, the Center for Excellence in Regulatory Science and Innovation, and Center for Research on Complex Generics are both FDA-funded Centers. These, together with state-of-the-art facilities in Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), High-Throughput Screening, and Applied Pharmaceutics, support the collaborative interdisciplinary research.
Responsibilities- Provide inspiration and leadership in research and teaching, demonstrating a strong record of leadership in research and professional activities.
- Develop and facilitate programmatic collaborative research and funding across the pharmaceutical, biomedical, chemical, and engineering sciences.
- Lead a team of 28 faculty members and oversee the department's research and educational programs.
Candidates for this position must have a Ph.D., and a distinguished record in research and education, including a well-funded research program and ability to develop and facilitate programmatic collaborative research and funding across the pharmaceutical, biomedical, chemical, and engineering sciences.
