Fundraising and Development Specialist

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fundraising and Development Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting our strategic fundraising efforts, developing and implementing an annual fundraising strategy designed to sustain and expand our donor base while exploring and cultivating additional revenue streams.
Main Responsibilities:- Fundraising Campaigns: Plan and implement fundraising campaigns to meet our annual revenue goals.
- Event Planning: Lead planning and logistics for donor and fundraising events, and assist with other organizational events as needed.
- Donor Communications: Write and design persuasive donor correspondence, emails, and marketing materials to inspire engagement and effectively communicate our mission.
- Donor Engagement and Stewardship: Build and maintain positive relationships with donors, respond to inquiries with timely professionalism, and devise strategies that encourage donor retention, increased giving, and meaningful donor experiences.
- Community Partners: Take active responsibility in corporate and organizational sponsorship planning, outreach, and relationship management.
- Major Gifts Cultivation: Support efforts to identify, engage, and cultivate major donors by preparing briefing materials, creating solicitation strategies, and coordinating follow-up actions.
- Grant Writing and Management: Research, write, and submit grant proposals to institutional funders, collaborating with staff to ensure grant applications align with organizational needs and follow reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and complete projects with minimal supervision.
- Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English, with exceptionally clear, persuasive, and dynamic written communication ability.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a collaborative team environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain effective working relationships within a small team environment.
- Take initiative in a flexible role that offers opportunities for growth and innovation, comfortable addressing new challenges and persisting through uncertainty when needed.
- Dependability and a collaborative spirit.
- Ability to conduct research, gather data, analyze information, and prepare reports and other materials.
- Experience using Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Teams.
- Experience with planning and executing events is a plus.
- Previous non-profit experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of DonorPerfect CRM or similar database experience is a plus.
- Graphic design skills are a plus.
$65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
