Job Overview

Prevailance is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Force Generation to provide expert support to Commander, Naval Surface Force Atlantic (CNSL) located at Naval Station Norfolk, VA. The primary objective of this role is to enhance Force Employment (Fe) execution by ship class and systems fielded by Carrier Strike Groups (CSG), Amphibious Readiness Groups (ARG), and independently deploying ships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exercise broad discretion and leadership in delivering support to CNSL, leveraging expertise in analyzing Navy Surface Ship Class requirements, including manning, training, maintenance, and equipping, as well as life-cycle sustainment of hull and systems.
  • Review CNO and OPNAV strategic guidance, maritime strategy, and Fleet and Joint Doctrines to make recommendations for revisions to programs and processes, thereby improving operational readiness.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Surface Force's business practices, primary data sources, secondary data needs, data gaps, and organic analytic capabilities to inform the development of a meaningful data visualization tool suite and predictive modeling needs for decision-makers at all levels.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create executive-level briefs and reports, utilizing proficient Microsoft Office applications skills.
Requirements
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Experience in the United States Navy as a post-Command Commander afloat or equivalent or afloat staff.
    • Recent (within last five years) experience analyzing Navy Surface Ship Class requirements.
    • Recent experience (within last five years) in reviewing CNO and OPNAV strategic guidance, maritime strategy, or other Fleet and Joint Doctrines.
    • Experience with analyzing specific metrics embedded within the PESTONI pillars of analysis.
    • Ability to develop a comprehensive understanding of the Surface Force's business practices.
    • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications.
    • Experience creating executive-level briefs and reports.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university.
  • Clearance:
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
