Project Controls Specialist

DLZ Corporation, an award-winning architecture and engineering firm, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Controls Specialist to join our team in Detroit, Saint Joseph, or Grand Rapids, MI.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and process contract documents, including obtaining internal legal review and certificates of insurance.
  • Assist in preparing contract specifications for projects.
  • Support Construction Administration for projects by processing shop drawings, submittals, RFI's, and other project documentation.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings and events.
  • Assist with preparation and tracking of project documentation and deliverables by maintaining an accurate project log.
  • Perform administrative support tasks, such as preparing mailings, process and prepare memos, correspondence, marketing materials, or other documents.
  • Control the issuance of project numbers and assist in the production and review of project file maintenance forms.
  • Monitor deliverables, reports, and documents for consistency and compliance with standards.
  • Assist with preparation of marketing proposals and presentations.
  • Perform all work in a safe and responsible manner, in accordance with the Health and Safety Plan.
  • Possess aptitude to act as a positive representative of DLZ and its core values.
Requirements:
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • 2 or more years administrative professional experience.
  • Experience in an architecture, engineering or construction firm is preferred.
  • Highly proficient with modern computer systems and software applications: Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Bluebeam, use and navigation of tool bars and searches.
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign or other graphic design software applications is a plus.
  • Must have exemplary organizational, customer service and communication skills.
  • Have a high level of dependability and an unwavering professional demeanor.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
