Comfort in navigating uncertainty while being a proactive team player dedicated to delivering exceptional legal support to internal stakeholders is essential. A willingness to engage hands-on in various tasks is also required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the drafting, structuring, and negotiation of intricate commercial agreements with a wide array of clients and partners, including automotive OEMs and emerging Autonomous Vehicle (AV) companies.
  • Act as a trusted legal advisor to the executive team on matters critical to business expansion.
  • Work collaboratively across various departments (e.g., Sales, Finance, Product, Engineering) to spearhead key projects.
  • Assist with intellectual property, product, and compliance-related activities as necessary.
  • Develop templates, guidelines, and training materials to enhance consistency, expedite execution, mitigate risks, and ensure scalability.
  • Establish and implement efficient legal operations processes, programs, and tools to facilitate the legal team's service delivery to the organization.
  • Proactively address additional responsibilities that may arise within a small legal team in a high-growth setting.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in structuring, drafting, and negotiating complex commercial contracts, including software licenses and strategic partnerships.
  • Experience in negotiating and drafting intellectual property and significant contractual representations in stock purchase, merger, and asset acquisition agreements.
  • A proactive demeanor suited for a fast-paced, sales-driven environment, requiring exceptional organizational capabilities and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active membership in a state bar.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in both law firm and in-house settings.
  • Degree in computer science or engineering.

The compensation range for this role is between $180,000 and $250,000 USD annually. This range is an estimate, and actual compensation may vary based on the company's practices.
