Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Transplant Clinic team at Ascension Seton Northwest. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing transplant procedures, ensuring their comfort, safety, and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing transplant procedures, including implementing and monitoring patient care plans, monitoring and recording patient condition, and communicating with healthcare team members.
  • Coordinate patient care with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs, including arranging for necessary equipment, transportation, and follow-up care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a transplant or critical care setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare technology.
  • Skilled in phlebotomy, blood draws, and IV placement.
