Bone Marrow Transplant Program Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bone Marrow Transplant Coordinator to join our team at St. David's South Austin Medical Center. As a key member of our Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to patients undergoing bone marrow transplants and other hematologic treatments.
Responsibilities- Monitor patient and family needs before, during, and after transplantation, intervening as necessary to ensure optimal care.
- Coordinate patient and donor pre-admission work-ups, gathering and reviewing clinical information to present to the transplant physician.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to establish a plan of care, facilitating continuity of care across departments and providers.
- Coordinate services for BMT/Oncology patients, overseeing National Marrow Donor Program processes as needed.
- Assist with long-term follow-up, including updates on patient condition, follow-up visits, and provision of post-discharge services.
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Registered Nurse in transplant services.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Case Management/Utilization.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David's Healthcare policy.
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).
