Job Summary
The Clinical Educator/Supervisor RN plays a critical role in the delivery of patient care services at WakeMed. This position assists the unit manager in supervision, education, and management of nursing personnel to ensure consistent standards of practice and competencies in the delivery of patient care services.
Responsibilities
- Assist the unit manager in supervision, education, and management of nursing personnel
- Ensure consistent standards of practice and competencies in the delivery of patient care services
- Support the mission, values, and management of patient care services
- Be proficient and efficient in all aspects of PACU care
- Support the PAT Clinic, Pre-Op, and PACU areas of Surgical Services
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in a nursing-related area
- 1 year of experience in Clinical-Surgical Services (preferred)
- Education in Teaching and Facilitation of Learning (required)
- Leadership experience (preferred)
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (required)
- Registered Nurse (required)
- National Certification in Nursing (required within 1 year of hire)
Work Schedule
This position requires a Monday-Friday schedule, with 10-hour shifts from 10am-8:30pm, and variable days off. There are no weekend requirements, but management call may be required.
