Position Overview:
Title: Senior SAP ABAP Developer
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Remote (preferably working EST/CST hours)
Work Schedule: Standard work week, Monday - Friday, 40 hours, with potential for overtime.

One Round - Video Panel Interview

Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior SAP ABAP Developer, you will:

  • Engage with management and end-users to ascertain system requirements.
  • Analyze software specifications to evaluate design feasibility.
  • Assess the interface between hardware and software, ensuring performance requirements are met.
  • Design SAP RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms) within SAP systems using appropriate design and development tools.
  • Develop software systems, including programming, documentation, and testing protocols.
  • Collaborate with the SAP basis team regarding transport management related to development.
  • Provide technical support and guidance throughout the implementation phase.
  • Assist in the development and execution of the SAP cutover plan prior to system go-live.
  • Offer advice on system maintenance following the go-live phase.
  • Coordinate the implementation of technical objects within the SAP Netweaver Platform.
  • Advise on SAP enhancements, bug fixes, OSS notes, support packages, and system upgrades.

Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 10 years as an ABAP Developer, with a preference for experience in the manufacturing sector. Strong development background in Production Planning and Supply Chain solutions is essential. Experience in discrete manufacturing, particularly in cable, is advantageous. Proficiency in form development (Adobe, Smartforms, and scripts) is required. Candidates should be adept in designing and developing architectural plans for third-party system integration using APIs, IDoc, and other protocols. A solid understanding of object-oriented programming and the ability to deliver scalable solutions is necessary. Familiarity with SAP best practices, industry standards, and Agile development methodologies is expected.

Education: A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required.

Preferred Skills:
Experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus:

  • SAP APO
  • S/4 HANA migration
  • SAP BTP
  • SAP WF
