Position: Senior ABAP Developer
Work Arrangement: Remote
Contract Duration: 12 Months (Potential for Temp to Perm)
Working Hours: 1st Shift (8 AM - 5 PM), preferably aligning with EST/CST time zones.
This role operates within a standard work week, Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours, with potential for overtime.
Interview Process: One Round - Video Panel Interview
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Over 10 years of experience as an ABAP Developer.
- Experience in the manufacturing sector is preferred but not mandatory.
- Extensive development expertise in Production Planning and Supply Chain solutions.
- Experience in discrete manufacturing, particularly in cable production, is advantageous.
- Proficient in Form Development, including Adobe, Smartforms, and scripts.
- Ability to design and develop architectural plans for third-party system integration utilizing APIs, IDoc, and other protocols.
- Must possess strong skills in object-oriented programming and deliver scalable solutions.
- Solid understanding of SAP best practices and industry standards, with experience in Agile development methodologies.
Experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus:
- SAP APO
- S/4 HANA migration
- SAP BTP
- SAP WF
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engage with management and end-user business process teams to identify system requirements.
- Assess software requirements to evaluate design feasibility.
- Analyze the interface between hardware and software, ensuring performance requirements are met in overall system design.
- Design SAP RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms) within SAP systems, utilizing appropriate design and development platforms.
- Develop software systems, encompassing programming, documentation, and testing protocols.
- Collaborate with the SAP basis team regarding transport management related to development.
- Provide technical support and guidance throughout the implementation phase.
- Assist in developing and executing the SAP cutover plan prior to system go-live.
- Offer advice on system maintenance post go-live.
- Coordinate the implementation of technical objects within the SAP Netweaver Platform, advising on SAP enhancements, bug fixes, OSS notes, support packages, and system upgrades.
