About the Role
US Foods, Inc. is seeking a skilled Diesel Equipment Technician to join its team in ensuring the efficient operation of its food distribution services. As a Diesel Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining fleet road equipment, guaranteeing compliance with trucking regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace, and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, bobtails, reefers, lift gates, etc.
  • Perform preventative maintenance within company standards.
  • Complete documentation of all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability.
  • Handle road service calls; perform road rescue/transport equipment as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations and government guidelines.

Requirements:
  • 3 years of commercial diesel mechanic or reefer experience or 2 years of diesel mechanic experience with TK or refrigeration certification.
  • Succesfully demonstrated independent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Prior experience in administering an appropriate PM program.
  • Furnish own personal hand tools.
