Job Summary

As a Food Services Steward, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service and maintaining high standards of sanitation and safety in the food service areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, ensuring the highest priority on safety in the workplace.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve exceptional service standards.
  • Perform daily tasks efficiently and thoroughly, adhering to instructions from the Dining Attendant, Lead.
  • Ensure proper equipment usage and safety procedures, timely cleaning of equipment, and organization of storage areas.
  • Stock and replenish food and non-food items as detailed in tasking sheets.
  • Clean and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and equipment, monitoring water temperature and chemical levels.
  • Prepare and chill beverages and frozen dessert mixes to support community usage.
  • Maintain clean and organized service, dining, and work areas.
  • Select and present food items during meal times, and store leftovers properly.
  • Follow proper thawing procedures for frozen items and label and date leftovers.
  • Discard food and non-food waste in a timely manner, adhering to approved waste management guidelines.
  • Monitor coffee and beverage consumption and replenish as needed.
  • Coordinate with Cooks to ensure timely transfer and scraping of dirty pots.
  • Prepare and distribute bagged lunches for departing field parties and flight crews as directed.
  • Meet physical demands of the job, including lifting and moving up to the safety regulation maximum, and performing repetitive motions.
Requirements
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Current ServSafe Food Handler certificate.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Valid U.S. Passport.
  • Minimum of six months related experience.
  • US citizenship or permanent residency.
