Job Title: Senior IT Specialist SAP S4 Budget Expert

UIC Government Services and the Bowhead Family of Companies are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Specialist SAP S4 Budget Expert to provide consultative support to our senior PEO MLB leadership at the Washington Navy Yard for the emerging Navy ERP+ program.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP Financials, including funds management, FI/CO, cash management, and public sector experience. They will provide subject matter expertise and inputs to the Government leads in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including planning, design, build, test, and deployment.

The Senior IT Specialist SAP S4 Budget Expert will also provide guidance and perform testing to sandbox configuration of uses cases to be defined, assist the Government in conducting analysis of performance enhancements, business drivers, costs, and schedule, and assist the Government with the preparation of documents and briefs for governance board meetings.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of SAP S4 Budget to Report and will be able to lead SAP S4 Budget to Report capability discussions across numerous Navy commands and stakeholders. They will also have excellent verbal and written skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work independently and as a team member.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise and inputs to the Government leads in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Provide guidance and perform testing to sandbox configuration of uses cases to be defined.
  • Assist the Government in conducting analysis of performance enhancements, business drivers, costs, and schedule.
  • Assist the Government with the preparation of documents and briefs for governance board meetings.
  • Lead SAP S4 Budget to Report capability discussions across numerous Navy commands and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS/MS degree, with preference in IT.
  • Ten (10+) or more years of SAP Financials experience, including funds management, FI/CO, cash management, and public sector experience.
  • Must have knowledge of SAP Financials for public sector.
  • Ability to interact and negotiate with senior stakeholders on deliverables in support of project completion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ten (10+) or more years of Navy or Federal experience.
  • Experience applying data management, data analysis, and data visualization.
  • Experience in developing and delivering briefings to all levels of Government leadership.
  • 5+ years as a lead or manager.

Security Clearance:

Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
