Neurosurgeon Position at University of Wisconsin

Job Summary:
The Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Wisconsin is seeking a highly skilled neurosurgeon to join its team. As a member of this department, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of neurosurgeons who provide primary, secondary, and tertiary inpatient and outpatient care for Wisconsin and northern Illinois.
This position offers a unique blend of clinical and research opportunities, allowing you to contribute to the advancement of neurosurgical care while also pursuing your own research interests. Responsibilities:
- As a member of the Neuro ICU team, you will serve as the 24/7 onsite attending physician in the Neuro ICU during assigned weeks, sharing attending duties with other Neuro ICU physicians.
- You will also participate in surgery, outpatient clinics, and attending service on neurosurgery inpatient and consult services at University of Wisconsin Hospitals, the VA Hospital, community hospitals, and clinics.
- Academic responsibilities will include teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as teaching continuing education programs for physicians and the public.
Requirements:
- Clinical and research interest in neuro critical care is required.
- Clinical and research interest in spine neurosurgery is preferred.
- Board eligibility or certification by the time of appointment is required.
