About the Role

Old Republic Surety Company is seeking a talented Surety Marketing Representative to join its Marketing Team in the Northeast Commercial Region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for promoting our products and services to prospective agencies, generating new business, and increasing premium with existing agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel to assigned territory to make effective marketing calls to agents and meet personal and company production goals.
  • Generate new business by promoting Old Republic's products and services to prospective agencies.
  • Vet and appoint new agencies, providing them with an onboarding experience and training on the online processing of bond requests, renewals, and cancellations.
  • Increase premium with existing agencies by building relationships and educating them on ways to refine the shared book of business.
  • Coordinate management visits with key agencies and collaborate with adjacent territories on the development of account-based Surety programs.
  • Keep management advised of market factors, including trends in the local economy, rates & commissions, agency prospects, non-performing agencies, territory-specific bond needs, etc.
  • Make budget recommendations to management, including premium & loss projections, ways to reduce controllable expenses, assessments of the staff to agency ratio, etc.
Requirements

This position requires a High School Diploma with at least four years of prior related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Qualified candidates who live anywhere in the assigned territory are encouraged to apply.
