Job Description
The Activities Director will manage the daily operations and staff within the designated service area. This role necessitates diplomacy, sensitivity, and professionalism due to ongoing interactions with residents and their families to ensure their satisfaction. Responsibilities include coordinating and implementing program services, which encompass family engagement initiatives, spiritual activities, and community outreach/volunteer programs. Additionally, the director will be responsible for recruiting, selecting, supervising, and developing the program services team. Duties also involve procuring supplies and equipment for programming, as well as monitoring and tracking expenditures.

Job Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a related field.
Skills:
Proven knowledge and experience working with residents experiencing dementia and appropriate therapeutic/behavioral interventions. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English in a clear and understandable manner.

Physical Demands:
Ability to push/pull and lift/carry objects up to 20 pounds, unassisted, on a frequent basis. Responsibilities include walking, standing, talking, and hearing, with the ability to move freely throughout the facility.
