Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated individual to enhance our Procurement department. The Procurement Assistant will be tasked with sourcing parts and materials for Russo Power, analyzing costs, generating purchase orders, liaising with vendors, and performing various administrative duties. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong problem-solving abilities, multitasking skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in computer applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain Russo's purchasing strategy.
  • Generate purchase orders and submit them to vendors.
  • Confirm and verify costs, quantities, availability, and estimated arrival times.
  • Ensure consistent stock levels across internal branches.
  • Act as a liaison between suppliers and internal teams, fostering strong relationships.
  • Gain knowledge of industry brands, including both OEM and aftermarket options.
  • Build rapport and communicate effectively with vendors and various divisions.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, manufacturers, part numbers, and product descriptions.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in general computer skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and professional.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and arithmetic capabilities.
  • Experience in outdoor power equipment, landscaping, or snow industries is advantageous.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen.
  • Occasional standing, walking, and manual dexterity required.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in purchasing is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word).
  • Familiarity with supply chain software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics NAV, SAP) is beneficial.
