About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fraud Analyst to join our Risk Management Function and AML team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in identifying and mitigating financial crime threats across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct in-depth investigations into suspicious transactions and customer activity to identify potential fraud and financial crime exposure.
  2. Analyze large datasets to extract relevant information and identify trends and patterns.
  3. Develop and implement control gap analysis and countermeasure development to mitigate financial crime risks.
  4. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to stay ahead of emerging financial crime threats.
  5. Utilize technical and fraud monitoring detection tools to detect and link organized crime rings.
  6. Classify threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) to identify additional risk across the Credit Union.
  7. Partner with the Information Security team to respond to incidents and member-related investigations.
  8. Liaise with peer financial institutions and law enforcement to share intelligence and best practices.
  9. Stay up-to-date with financial crimes policies, procedures, and functions to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience in fraud investigation, risk management, or a related field.
  2. Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist or the American Bankers Association's Certified AML and Fraud Professional, Certified Fraud Examiner, or the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators Certified Financial Crimes Investigator designation.
  3. Strong analytical and tactical implementation skills.
  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced consumer business office environment and utilize standard office equipment.
  5. Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. (file boxes, computer printer).
  6. Travel required occasionally.
