Job SummaryThe Contracts Administrator will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of construction projects by developing, negotiating, and evaluating contracts that mitigate liability and risks. This position requires a strong understanding of local, state, and federal laws, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate documentation is issued for construction projects, including contract/purchase orders, insurance certificates, and lien/notices releases.
  • Review contracts and provide recommendations to management and the Executive team.
  • Negotiate contract terms with clients and subcontractors, involving the Executive team as necessary.
  • Verify that sub/vendor proposals have appropriate strike-outs.
  • Renew annual AIA Contract license and assign users as required.
  • Manage master owner contract agreements and conduct regular audits of current contracts.
  • Prepare and submit paperwork for new licenses or license renewals.
  • Ensure bonded projects maintain appropriate compliance and bonding levels, with monthly reviews as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to the Executive management team as required.
  • Mentor and train other team members for overall team development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 10 years of Contract Administration experience in the construction or contracting industry.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Well-organized, responsive, and with great follow-through on assignments.
  • Ability to perform well under tight deadlines.
