Role Responsibilities

The Health Records Coordinator is tasked with ensuring the accuracy and organization of resident medical records.

Key Duties Include:
  • Monitoring Provider visits to comply with regulatory requirements and tracking annual History and Physicals, notifying physicians as necessary.
  • Maintaining a Triple Check binder for monthly reviews.
  • Updating ABAQIS weekly for all admissions and discharges.
  • Tracking facility rental equipment and ensuring its return to vendors.
  • Preparing monthly billing for oxygen and resident vaccinations (Influenza, Pneumovax, and Prevnar 13).
  • Reviewing records for completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Processing admission and discharge documentation.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a high school diploma is required.
  • Medical Records Certification is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology, nursing practices, and computer skills is advantageous.
