Healthcare Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Mechanic 1 to join our team at Mercy Health System. This entry-level position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.
- Assist in the completion of special projects, including insulating, painting, demolition, and general clean-up, to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Coordinate and install interior signage, including that associated with renovation projects, to ensure clear communication and navigation.
- Place department orders and pick up miscellaneous supplies as needed to maintain a well-stocked inventory.
- Perform grounds keeping operations, including snow removal and special events, to maintain a safe and attractive outdoor environment.

To be considered for this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license. For those driving Mercyhealth vehicles, you must maintain an acceptable driving record per Mercyhealth HR.100 Fleet and Driver Safety policy.
Skills and AbilitiesYou must possess good interpersonal communication skills and be able to lift and move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include color vision, close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
