We are seeking a skilled General Laborer to join our team at Butterball, LLC. As a General Laborer, you will be responsible for performing various tasks on recently slaughtered turkeys or tasks that support the overall operations within the department.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect birds as they move down the line, checking for bruises, scabs, tears, feathers, broken bones, etc.
- Trim birds as needed, removing scabs, feathers, slicing or removing bruises, and removing parts with broken bones.
- Throw away condemned parts and drop salvage parts onto the salvage conveyor belt.
- Hang back birds or parts on the hang back rack as required.
- Proper PPE usage, including eye protection, hearing protection, arm guard, and mesh glove.
- Ability to stand for long periods, work with scissors or knives, and grip, grasp, and twist using hands and wrists.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and hang birds as required.
May work in a damp environment, seasonably hot and warm environment, and work with loud and noisy machinery.
