Your Role
As the Lead Pharmacist, you will oversee the safe and compliant operations of our pharmacy department. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising pharmacy staff and ensuring adherence to all regulations and safety protocols.
- Reviewing and verifying medication prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Providing guidance to pharmacy technicians in daily operations.
- Educating patients and healthcare professionals about medications, including potential interactions and side effects.
- Maintaining quality assurance procedures and ensuring the secure handling of controlled substances.
- Managing pharmacy records and inventory efficiently.
- Training interns and collaborating with other medical personnel.
- Participating in ongoing education and training programs.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (Pharm D) or a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Degree (BS Pharm).
- An active State Pharmacist License.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient computer skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
