About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Ophthalmic Technician to join our team at Novus Clinic in Tallmadge, OH. As a key member of our eye care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our ophthalmologists in delivering top-notch eye care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate patient flow and assist the doctor in preliminary testing
  • Verify medical and vision insurances, and effectively communicate with patients, doctors, and managers
  • Answer inquiries through phone, email, and in-person requests
  • Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter
  • Display a professional attitude, greet patients promptly with a smile, and thank them when they leave
Requirements
  • Tech experience in Ophthalmology and/or Optometry is required
  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) is preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Favorable result on Background Check
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong customer service skills

Work Environment

Our offices are open from Monday-Friday 8:30am-7:30pm, Saturday 8am-2pm. You will not work all of these hours every week, but you must have open availability to work any shift within these hours.

You may need to work a little earlier/later as needed.
