  • Lead all procurement and contracting initiatives on behalf of InsideHigherEd and supervise a dedicated procurement team.
  • Formulate and implement procurement department strategies that prioritize exceptional customer service.
  • Conduct training sessions and effectively relay departmental guidelines to ensure stakeholders are well-informed throughout the procurement process.
  • Oversee the efficient use of procurement software to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Maintain organized records of contracts for accurate tracking, payments, and milestone achievements.
  • Manage the competitive bidding processes for all procurement activities.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations while advocating for the organization's procurement needs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders through regular business reviews.
  • Perform market and benchmarking analyses to assess business needs.
  • Assist internal teams in identifying and implementing solutions for timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and best practices within the procurement function.

Exhibit the highest level of integrity while engaging with a diverse range of individuals in collaborative settings.

Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness in meeting deadlines.

Outstanding leadership, communication, and presentation skills are required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of seven years of experience in procurement and contracting.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to excel in a dynamic work environment.
  • Significant experience in complex negotiations and problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in procurement, supply chain management, and contract administration.
  • Familiarity with e-procurement systems.
  • Experience in construction contracting is a plus.

This position may involve occasional travel.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Rank/Salary: SL4 / $90,000-$100,000, based on experience and qualifications.
