Kingwood Pines Hospital is a leading provider of psychiatric and behavioral health services. Located in the heart of Kingwood, Texas, our hospital offers a unique opportunity for a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Behavioral Health Specialist.

**Job Summary:**

As a Behavioral Health Specialist at Kingwood Pines Hospital, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients with psychiatric and behavioral health needs. Your expertise will be crucial in assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing treatment strategies to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

**Responsibilities:**

* Provide leadership and direction to licensed vocational nurses, psychiatric technicians, and counselors, promoting a collaborative and supportive team environment.
* Conduct thorough assessments of patients' psychiatric and medical status, identifying areas for improvement and developing targeted interventions.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of treatment plans, working closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
* Document patient care, treatment, and response to treatment, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
* Recognize signs and symptoms of mental health disorders and chemical dependency disorders, applying evidence-based treatment interventions to promote patient recovery.

**Benefits:**

**Requirements:**

* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Associate's Degree) required; BSN preferred.
* Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas required.
* Minimum of one (1) year related experience required; psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
* CPR and HWC Crisis Intervention training must be completed prior to beginning work.
