Key Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced respiratory procedures, including intubation, pulmonary diagnostics, and bronchoscopy
  • Develop and implement respiratory care plans to meet the needs of patients with complex respiratory conditions
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety
  • Provide education and training to respiratory care staff on advanced respiratory procedures and techniques
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved respiratory care education program
  • Current licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of Texas
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
  • At least 4 years of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, with at least 2 years in a critical care setting
Preferred Qualifications
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist Adult Critical Care Specialty (RRT-ACCS) certification
  • Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) certification
