Role Summary

The primary responsibility of the Warehouse Associate - Receiving is to manage stock retrieval for customer orders, process incoming and outgoing shipments, and maintain the overall organization of the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Implement and uphold Company safety, health, and environmental programs, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
  2. Adhere to the Company's principles and procedures, including Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies.
  3. Organize daily workflows for receiving, unloading, and forklift teams.
  4. Coordinate shipments with production, purchasing, and other departments.
  5. Train team members on safety protocols and operational procedures.
  6. Maintain accurate records of receipts and documentation.
  7. Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure product standards are met.
  8. Communicate effectively with various departments, including bookstore staff and vendors.
  9. Track and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  10. Ensure a clean and organized work area.
  11. Efficiently unload deliveries and stock items.
  12. Maintain accurate logs of daily inventory movements.
  13. Engage positively with vendors and delivery personnel.
  14. Provide support for shipping and receiving as needed.
  15. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Additional Qualifications:
  • Proficient in operating various materials handling equipment, including hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
  • Comfortable working at heights between 18ft to 30ft.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse setting preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Good physical condition with the ability to stand or bend for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
