Warehouse Operations Specialist

NSI Industries is seeking a highly motivated Warehouse Associate to join our team. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for retrieving stock to fill customer orders, processing and fulfilling orders, accepting incoming and outgoing shipments, and maintaining the overall organization of the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the implementation of company safety, health, and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed.
- Commit to the company's policies, principles, and procedures, adhering to EH&S, EEO, discipline/corrective action, and security protocols.
- Organize the daily workflow of receivers, unloaders, and forklift personnel.
- Prepare shipments by coordinating with production, purchasing, and other departments.
- Train receiving team members on safety protocols and proper procedures.
- Keep track of receipts and paperwork.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure products meet company standards and report any issues.
- Communicate effectively across the business, including with bookstore staff, delivery services, and vendors.
- Track, trace, and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and work-ready area.
- Promptly unload trucks and deliveries, sort, and stock receivables.
- Maintain an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately.
- Engage with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
- Provide additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to operate various types of materials handling equipment, including hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, and order/pickup trucks.
- Must be comfortable using equipment and elevating to heights ranging from 18ft to 30ft.
- Must be flexible, with overtime and weekend work required as needed.
- Must be able to read and write in English.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude and great work ethic.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
- Must be in good physical condition.
- Must be able to stand and/or bend for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
