Job Summary

The Los Rios Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time, temporary (Adjunct) faculty position in Dental Assisting. This is an ongoing recruitment, and applicants are contacted and hired year-round based on college needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach assigned classes under the supervision of the area dean
  • Help students master course content and assess learning outcomes
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the teaching field and continue professional development
  • Utilize current technology in job duties and maintain professional conduct and ethics
  • Assist with articulation and curriculum development, and participate in faculty governance
Minimum Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree or higher AND two years of professional experience in Dental Assisting, OR associate degree AND six years of experience, OR equivalent
  2. Certified Dental Assistant license
  3. Registered Dental Assistant License
  4. Current CPR certification
  5. Equity-minded focus and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds
