Job Title: CDL/Spot Driver

Job Summary:

The CDL/Spot Driver is responsible for transporting finished products between our production environment and local distribution centers. This role requires a high level of safety awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport finished goods to and from specified locations, adhering to operating procedures and safety protocols.
  • Assist in loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring proper securing of goods to prevent damage during transit.
  • Utilize approved scanning technology to maintain accurate inventory management and record all loads hauled, unloaded, etc.
  • Follow shipping orders and schedules, verifying and transporting requested materials/orders on time as required.
  • Complete daily paperwork for deliveries and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist in warehouse-wide physical inventory processes and other warehouse projects as needed.
  • Perform pre-shift inspection checklists on all power equipment to ensure compliance with ODOT regulations.
  • Report any mechanical, electrical, or equipment concerns to the Shipping and Receiving Manager and/or Plant Manager.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Class A commercial driver's license (CDL).
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of proven CDL experience.
  • Proven experience driving/maneuvering in multi-dock locations.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Sound knowledge of road safety regulations.
  • Basic computer knowledge using Microsoft suite.
  • Experience operating inventory scanner tools and platforms a plus.

Working Conditions:

The CDL/Spot Driver will work in a warehouse environment, exposed to various weather conditions, and will be required to lift 50 pounds repetitively. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high sense of urgency, is essential.
