Physical Therapist Career Overview

At Interim HealthCare of Maine Careers, we are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team. As a Physical Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work with patients who have lost mobility, strength, or functionality in various settings, including nursing homes, rehab centers, and clinics.

Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy to patients who require assistance with exercises and hands-on therapy to manage pain and increase mobility
  • Work with a team of healthcare professionals to provide excellent patient care
  • Conduct assessments, document progress, and determine if therapy services should be modified
  • Educate patients and family members on established goals, exercises, and self-care to ensure progress

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Program and active PT license in New Hampshire
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of physical therapy experience
  • CPR certification
  • Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
  • Good clinical judgment and strong interpersonal skills
