Elderwood at Amherst is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Director of Activities to enhance the daily lives of our residents. As a creative leader, you will design and implement engaging activities that promote physical, social, and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities:- Plan and lead a diverse calendar of events that meets the interests and needs of residents.
- Create a positive environment that fosters a sense of belonging, fun, and personal fulfillment.
- Inspire and motivate staff and volunteers to bring energy and care to every interaction.
- A baccalaureate degree and training in recreation or a related field.
- Experience in activity planning or recreational therapy, especially in long-term care.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to manage programs and connect with families, staff, and the community.
