DARCARS Automotive Group is seeking skilled Automotive Service Technicians.
As an Automotive Service Technician, your primary role will be to comprehend and execute essential repairs required for the maintenance of client vehicles.
You will engage in general repair tasks and diagnostics with some guidance. Key repairs include: light engine work, transmission services, clutch replacements, drive shaft repairs, electrical system diagnostics (including starters and alternators), HVAC system maintenance, and steering & suspension repairs.
Objective:
To accurately diagnose, repair, and uphold vehicle performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute tasks outlined in maintenance and repair orders on vehicles, adhering to dealership and manufacturer specifications.
- Diagnose and rectify automotive systems such as engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, heating, and cooling systems to meet standards.
- Provide accurate labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs.
- Effectively communicate diagnoses and repairs with fellow technicians and service managers.
- Engage in ongoing learning of new technical information and methodologies through formal training sessions to keep pace with evolving technology.
- Inspect and evaluate new vehicles, documenting findings for necessary repairs.
- Support other technicians in diagnostic and repair efforts.
Qualifications:
- ASE Certification in one or more categories or equivalent mechanical skills and leadership as determined by management.
- Proficient in diagnosing a wide range of customer concerns.
- Completion of various instructor-led training sessions.
- Engagement in available online training courses.
- Exhibit a positive attitude and a collaborative spirit.
- Capability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
