Job Title: Parts Sales Specialist
Job Summary:
Riggs Industries is seeking a skilled Parts Sales Specialist to join our team. As a Parts Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for selling replacement parts and providing post-delivery customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sell stock replacement parts, manufactured replacement parts, and aftermarket equipment.
- Read blueprints and perform takeoffs and estimating.
- Develop quotes for repair work.
- Have strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with Riggs Industries products.
- Have strong computer skills and familiarity with MS Office.
- Have excellent phone and customer service skills.
- Read catalogs or computer displays to determine replacement part stock numbers and prices.
- Determine replacement parts required based on inspections of old parts, drawings, work orders, customer requests, or customers' descriptions of malfunctions.
- Receive and fill telephone orders for parts.
- Fill customer orders from stock.
- Prepare sales slips or sales contracts.
- Receive payment or obtain credit authorization.
- Take inventory of stock.
- Advise customers on substituting or modifying parts when identical replacements are unavailable.
- Examine returned parts for defects and defective exchange parts or refund money.
- Observe and comply with all provisions of the ISO 9001 QMS.
- Observe and comply with all safety rules, including the use of PPE.
Requirements:
- High school diploma and one year's related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
