Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Development Assistant to join our team at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Director of Staff Development and assist with various staff development initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Staff Development, including preparing reports, managing correspondence, and coordinating meetings.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of staff development programs, including training sessions, workshops, and conferences.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and address staff development needs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to support staff development initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent, or GED.
  • Three years of full-time, wage-earning customer service, clerical, secretarial, administrative support, or technical program support experience.
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent, including word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software programs.

The salary for this position is $3,322.93. We offer a competitive benefits package, including longevity pay and regular service retirement.
