About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Development Director to lead our resource development efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive resource development plan to support the Texas Medical Association Foundation's mission.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Execute Resource Development Plan: Create and implement a strategic plan to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors and prospects to achieve fundraising goals.
  2. Build Meaningful Relationships: Foster strong relationships with donors, prospects, and stakeholders to advance the mission of the Texas Medical Association Foundation.
  3. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with the Executive Director, Data Manager, and other teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  4. Research and Write Funding Proposals: Conduct research and write tailored funding proposals, solicitations, and grant applications to secure resources for the foundation.
  5. Event Planning and Execution: Plan and execute the annual fundraising gala, including securing sponsorships, vendors, and volunteers.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong track record in fundraising, donor engagement, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will have:

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in fundraising and development.
  • Demonstrated relationship management and communication skills.
  • Experience working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, and staff.
