About the Role

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Technician to join our team in Lexington, Massachusetts.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing direct patient care and participating in therapeutic milieus. As a member of our Resource Team, you will have the chance to care for patients on various in-patient units and at the Clinical Evaluation Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse
  • Participate in therapeutic milieus and patient groups
  • Document patient progress and observations accurately and timely
  • Establish therapeutic relationships with patients and maintain professional boundaries
  • Identify and de-escalate crisis situations using non-verbal and verbal techniques
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • No experience required, but one year of patient care or related experience is preferred
  • Verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Basic computer skills to use electronic or online systems for communication and clinical purposes
