Job Overview

Next Protection is seeking a qualified Fire Sprinkler Technician.

Position Overview: The Fire Sprinkler Technician will be responsible for the inspection, installation, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems for both commercial and residential clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough tests and inspections on various fire protection systems, including wet, dry, and fire sprinkler systems, fire pumps, foam systems, and hydrants.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on all types of fire sprinkler systems and related equipment.
  • Execute backflow testing and repairs, or demonstrate the ability to acquire necessary licensing promptly.
  • Possess a solid understanding of NFPA 25 and 13 standards.
  • Maintain positive customer relationships by addressing concerns and providing answers to inquiries.
  • Enhance job knowledge through participation in training opportunities and by reviewing technical literature.
  • Ensure a safe and secure working environment by adhering to safety protocols and keeping sensitive information confidential.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Preferred certifications include NICET or CSA.
  • Capability to obtain relevant industry certifications.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Adherence to safety, environmental, health, and waste management policies.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and on-call shifts.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Proficiency in reading and speaking English.
