Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a dedicated Substance Use Intervention Specialist. This role is crucial in providing interventions and treatment for individuals facing substance use challenges. The specialist will collaborate with a clinical team to evaluate client needs, contribute to personalized service plans, and advocate for clients while liaising with families and community organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct care aimed at assessing, diagnosing, and treating adults and their families, tailoring services to address individual needs. Facilitate various group therapy sessions utilizing the agency's Substance Use Program curriculum, which includes structured group programs and may incorporate individual or family therapy as necessary. Leverage community resources to enhance treatment options and ensure compliance with program requirements.
  • Commit to a full-time schedule, ensuring a minimum of 30 hours of direct client interaction, including necessary case management. Maintain productivity standards and complete assigned tasks within specified timelines.
  • Work autonomously while actively participating in the development, execution, and assessment of treatment and prevention initiatives.
  • Generate comprehensive and timely clinical documentation for all services provided, ensuring it meets the required standards for quality and compliance.
  • Uphold high standards of service delivery, employing evidence-based therapeutic methods whenever feasible. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in accordance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Engage in regular supervision and feedback sessions, fostering a collaborative and strengths-based work environment.
  • Maintain constructive interactions with clinical, support, and administrative teams.

Additional Duties:

  • Attend scheduled administrative and staff meetings, providing recommendations for service improvement.
  • Facilitate communication across departments to ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in committees and training initiatives as requested.
  • Adhere to the agency's standards for service delivery.
  • Build and sustain effective relationships with state, community, and partner organizations.
  • Engage in additional duties and support agency fundraising efforts as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in a Behavioral Health-related field is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or compliance with Behavioral Health Technician requirements is necessary.
  • Experience in facilitating substance use groups and working with individuals diagnosed with substance use disorders is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Substance Abuse certification is advantageous.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
  • Regular access to reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) skills are a plus.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age at the time of employment.
