Role Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Substance Use Intervention Specialist to provide essential services in our behavioral health programs. This role is crucial in delivering substance use interventions and treatment to individuals and groups, working collaboratively within a clinical team to evaluate client needs and develop tailored service plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct care focused on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for adults and their families, ensuring services are customized to meet individual needs. Facilitate various group therapy sessions, utilizing established agency curriculum, and incorporate individual or family therapy as necessary.
  • Maintain a workload of at least 40 hours per week, aiming for 30 hours of direct client interaction, including necessary case management. Adhere to productivity standards and complete all assigned tasks within designated timelines.
  • Work autonomously while contributing to the development, execution, and assessment of treatment and prevention initiatives.
  • Generate comprehensive and timely clinical documentation for all services provided, ensuring it meets quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure high-quality service delivery, utilizing best practice therapeutic methods, and maintain up-to-date client records in compliance with agency policies and relevant regulations.
  • Engage in regular supervision, welcoming constructive feedback and collaboration.
  • Foster positive interactions with clinical and administrative staff to enhance teamwork.

Additional Duties:

  • Attend all scheduled administrative and staff meetings, contributing suggestions for service improvement.
  • Facilitate communication across departments to ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in committees and training initiatives as requested.
  • Uphold the agency's standards for service delivery.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
  • Engage in additional responsibilities and fundraising activities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a behavioral health-related field is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or compliance with Behavioral Health Technician requirements.
  • Experience in facilitating substance use groups and working with individuals facing substance use challenges is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Substance Abuse certification is advantageous.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
  • Regular access to reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of employment.

  • Establish and nurture positive working relationships with team members and external partners.
  • A valid driver's license and appropriate insurance are required for agency-related travel.
