Position Overview:

The Procurement Coordinator is responsible for evaluating purchasing requests and sourcing necessary components for our technicians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess purchasing requests from management for non-job-related materials and collaborate with potential suppliers to identify optimal solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with the Procurement Manager to ensure that job supplies and materials are sourced from suitable vendors.
  • Work in tandem with the inventory team to maintain appropriate stock levels of parts and supplies, placing restock orders as needed.
  • Provide support to the parts team in their duties when required.
  • Assist the Procurement Manager with bid requests and conduct pricing comparisons.
  • Investigate new product offerings and present findings to the Procurement Manager.
  • Coordinate with the inventory team to monitor maximum and minimum inventory thresholds.
  • Track the receipt of materials and organize packing documentation.
  • Address inquiries from accounts payable regarding invoice discrepancies.
  • Support the Procurement Manager with special projects as necessary.
  • Establish strong relationships with high-volume suppliers.
  • Evaluate damaged materials upon receipt and liaise with suppliers regarding credits and returns.
Qualifications:
  • Understanding of inventory management and supply chain principles.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, written estimates, and work orders.
  • Physical capabilities: ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
