Job Summary

The Clinical/Staff Pharmacist is responsible for coordinating the provision of high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients at Frye Regional Medical Center, adhering to established regulations and procedures. This includes drug distribution functions and clinical activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret medication orders and accurately transcribe to patient medication profiles.
  • Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, duplications, drug-drug interactions, and appropriateness of drug, dose, and frequency.
  • Compound and dispense medications, including sterile compounds, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition products.
  • Review and interpret laboratory data for therapy appropriateness and recommend changes as needed.
  • Interact with patients, healthcare providers, clinics, and prescribers involved with the patient.
  • Document all clinical activities and interventions accurately and completely.
  • Participate in quality improvement and medication use review activities of the department as necessary.
