Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Walgreens. As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in assisting pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of prescriptions, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, including retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine is correct, and checking for possible interactions.
  • Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently, using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with the local medical community, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager.
Requirements
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
  • Prefer good math skills and good computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PTCB certification.
