- Assist in the preparation and execution of surgical procedures, ensuring the highest standards of safety and care.
- Administer medications and vaccinations as ordered by our veterinarians, maintaining accurate records and ensuring the well-being of our patients.
- Review medical concerns, evaluate the health and well-being of animals, and report results to our Clinic Manager.
- Assist with patient admissions and releases, providing clear instructions and support to pet owners.
- Collect lab samples, perform routine tests, and maintain laboratory equipment and records.
- Perform all patient treatments ordered by our veterinarians, ensuring the highest standards of care and compassion.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to our high standards of sanitation and hygiene.
- Prepare surgical packs and assist with routine kennel duties, including walking, feeding, and medicating animals.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience as a veterinary assistant in a veterinary clinic environment preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commitment to animal welfare and a passion for delivering high-quality care.
- Valid driver's license required.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time position, with typical work hours between 8 AM and 4:30 PM. Weekend and holiday shifts may be required, and occasional travel to area rescues and community clinics may be necessary.
