Role Responsibilities

The Head Coach for the Men's Futsal National Team will oversee the coaching of the U.S. Men's Futsal National Team, focusing on the development of individual players to excel at the highest levels of the sport. This role involves managing the daily high-performance needs of national team players and staff in both training and competitive settings.

The selected candidate will guide the team through various domestic training camps in preparation for regional and international competitions.

Key Duties

  • Support the leadership of the ENT Department
  • Align with the goals and initiatives of the ENT Program
  • Prepare the Men's Futsal National Team for peak performance
  • Contribute to the Federation's long-term vision and policies
  • Lead training camps and competitions for the Men's Futsal National Team
  • Collaborate with Senior Directors of ENT on program areas including player identification, scheduling, and budgeting
  • Work closely with ENT development managers on player enhancement and program development
  • Assist in formulating a strategic plan to promote the growth of ENT programs and players
  • Identify and develop necessary resources to meet the strategic needs of the ENT

Primary Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the creation of the Men's Futsal National Team player pool
  • Manage support staff during training and competitions
  • Promote player development at all levels, facilitating competitive opportunities
  • Engage with partners to enhance player identification
  • Assist in developing a talent identification framework across disciplines
  • Identify key presenters for coaching clinics to enhance program awareness
  • Communicate with stakeholders including media, donors, and sponsors
  • Build relationships with professional clubs and educational institutions
  • Assist with additional program duties as needed

Additional Responsibilities

  • Lead the Men's Futsal National Team in domestic and international competitions
  • Coordinate with clubs to ensure player availability for competitions
  • Develop a national talent identification framework for Men's Futsal
  • Create a database of eligible U.S. Futsal players
  • Collaborate with the Talent ID Department to track potential players
  • Facilitate the transition of players from other formats to Futsal
  • Manage training sessions and competitions for the Futsal National Team
  • Implement a performance and development model for the team
  • Design individualized training plans for player development
  • Produce reports on player performance and program effectiveness
  • Evaluate and improve the program based on research and feedback

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • USSF "B" License or equivalent experience in Futsal
  • Experience in a high-performance soccer environment
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven success in player management
  • History of player development
  • Excellent organizational and leadership capabilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and video editing software
  • Strong communication skills in various formats
  • Willingness to travel extensively
  • Understanding of the U.S. soccer landscape and a passion for the sport
