Nursing Faculty

Galen College of Nursing is seeking an ambitious Nursing Faculty - Clinical to join our team. As a clinical nursing educator, you will be responsible for facilitating learning and learner development, using assessment and evaluation strategies, and participating in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation.
Responsibilities- Effectively facilitates learning and learner development by creating an environment that promotes student learning and achievement of desired student learning and program outcomes.
- Implements a variety of teaching strategies appropriate to learner needs, desired learner outcomes, content, and context, using information technologies and eLearning technology to support the teaching-learning process.
- Provides resources to students that help meet their individual learning needs, serves as a faculty advisor to assist students in short-term program and goal achievement and long-range career planning, and serves as a role model of professional nursing.
- Uses assessment and evaluation strategies, including a variety of strategies to assess and evaluate student learning in all settings (classroom, lab, or clinical) and all domains (cognitive, psychomotor, and affective) of learning.
- Participates in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation, including implementing a curriculum that has clearly articulated program student learning outcomes (PSLOs), which are used to organize the curriculum, guide the delivery of instruction, direct learning activities, and evaluate student progress.
- Participates in evaluation of the program outcomes, including designing and implementing program assessments that promote continuous quality improvement of all aspects of the program.
- Continuously develops in the academic educator role, participating in professional development activities that increase socialization to and effectiveness of the faculty role, and using feedback obtained through self, peer, student, and administrative evaluations to increase role effectiveness.
- Engages in scholarship, using evidence-based research/literature to improve teaching and learning and to design evidence-based teaching and evaluation practices.
- Functions as a change agent and leader, developing leadership skills to shape and implement change, and implementing strategies for organizational change.
- Functions within the educational environment, demonstrating commitment to the College's mission and values of inspiring and fostering excellence, compassion, accountability, and inclusivity.
- Active, current, unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse and per State Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Degree.
- Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse and per State Board of Nursing.
