Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Level Software Engineer to join our team at Peraton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying cloud-based infrastructure for Government clients. Your expertise in DevSecOps industry standard technologies and cloud environments will be crucial in delivering high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

As a Sr Level Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:
  • Designing and building containerized software solutions using Kubernetes and/or AWS EKS
  • Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for automating deployments
  • Designing and developing software applications in an Agile environment
  • Designing and developing Infrastructure as Code using Ansible, Terraform, and Helm
  • Ensuring the security and integrity of cloud-based infrastructure

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
  • Minimum of 12 years' experience with BS/BA; 10 years' experience with MS/MA; 7 years' experience with Ph.D.; 14 years' experience with AA/AS degree; in lieu of degree, 16 years of related experience is allowable
  • A current/valid Security+ certification (or equivalent DOD 8570 IAT II Level Certification) or ability to obtain the certification within 30 days of hire
  • Experience with application programming languages and build principles using C, C++ or Java
  • Developing software in a Linux environment
  • Gitlab/Git
  • Kubernetes
  • Artifactory
  • Containerization concepts using Docker or Podman
  • Developing CI/CD pipelines specifically for Gitlab (using Gitlab Runners)
  • Deployment strategies using Helm
  • Scripting using Bash, Python etc.
  • Developing Infrastructure as Code using Ansible, Terraform, and Helm
  • ELK/EFK, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Fluentd
  • AWS Console, AWS Services such as EC2, S3, and EKS, and Cloud Computing
  • Familiarity with Certificate Authorities and PKI
  • Experience building new test automation
  • Experience with NiFi

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
