Job Title: Sr. Principal Engineer Software

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Principal Engineer Software to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our software organization, you will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and testing software for our end-user customers and businesses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop software applications in a simulated training environment
  • Participate in the full software development life cycle, including requirements, design, implementation, qualification, and delivery of software products
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including systems engineering, cloud and application, test automation, DevSecOps, and systems test
  • Analyze system capabilities to resolve problems and improve software systems
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 8 years of related engineering experience, or a Master's degree in STEM with 6 years of experience, or a PhD in STEM with 4 years of experience
  • Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and at least one programming or scripting language, such as C, C++, or Python
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Crucible, Bitbucket, Subversion, Bamboo, Jenkins, Sonarqube, Fortify, or Coverity
  • Active DoD Secret or higher clearance and ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
